A very warm welcome to FishActive a new website designed to provide a central resource for all matters of interest to the fishing community and a platform for constructive debate on matters of local as well as national interest.

The home page of FishActive features up to date news regarding local and national issues of interest to the entire angling hierarchy and to all anglers and commercial fishermen. The Discussion Board enables and encourages debate on key issues and will give a true local voice and consultation arena to broaden knowledge. In essence it will improve communication, education and compliance within angling.

FishActive is run independently by MacNab Media (owners of FishandFly.com and other fishing websites) but has been developed in conjunction with the Environment Agency as a pilot scheme for Sussex and will in due course be extended to other regions.

We will take part in constructive forum discussions that we hope will ensure effective consultation between local and national angling groups, resulting in better fisheries and angling opportunities in Sussex.”

Richard Hewitt Deputy Chairman of MacNab Media added; “The key to this site is its independence and the fact there are no barriers to entry such as subscriptions etc. Anyone with an interest in fishing in Sussex will be welcomed and encouraged to voice their opinions and to participate. We are looking forward to making a success of this pilot scheme.”

In addition FishActive will provide the ability to conduct online polls and surveys to provide vital information on all relevant angling matters.

In addition MacNab Media are the publishers of Where to Fish and the online version for Sussex can be accessed via FishActive showing all fisheries together with an online booking facility.
